Topsham - Foreside Recreation Center

Lacrosse

From Bath/Boothbay: Take Rte. 1 South, get off at the Coastal Connector (Topsham), Cross Merrymeeting Bridge, and take first right onto Rte. 24. Follow directions below  from Rte. 24.

From Lewiston: take  Rte. 196 to Topsham follow directions below from first traffic light.

From the North - Take 295 S to exit  31A Topsham, at the end of the ramp turn right onto Rte. 196. Go straight through 6 Traffic Lights:  (1^st Light - South Bound Ramp Exit, 2^nd Light - Topsham Fair Mall, 3^rd Light - Rite Aid/Mallet Drive,  4^th Light - Dunkin Donuts/Gas,  5^th Light - Junction of  201, 6^th Light - Entrance to The Highlands/Back entrance Topsham Fair  Grounds). At  7^th Light get into left lane for exit to Rte. 24,  Follow exit to the stop sign, at junction of Rte. 24 (also known as Middlesex)  take a right, go approximately 500 feet, and turn left onto Foreside Road.   Go another ¾ of a mile and you will be at the Foreside Recreation Facility.  Parking is on the right hand side of the road, or for Hillside (upper field,  Lacrosse), park in the last Parking Lot on the left.  Please  follow the directions for the correct location of your event.

Foreside Recreation  Facility is located on a three tier scheme:

Foreside Fields -  are located right on Foreside Rd. they consist of Restrooms, Playground,  Basketball Courts, Ice Rinks, Sliding Hill and  1 Baseball Field. 

Riverside Fields (formerly referred to as Cow Island Fields) can be reached by either taking a walk through the gated area off of right hand Parking Lot, or by follow the foot  path which is directly across from the Baseball Backstop on Foreside.  A  softball field, baseball field, multi-purpose fields, and the cross country trails are located in this area. Handicap access is available by obtaining a key at the Topsham Police Station.

**Hillside Field (commonly referred to as the Upper Field) can be reached by walking up over the sliding hill, or if you park in the Left Hand Parking lot, by following the new  path through the woods and following the foot path to the field. The Lacrosse Field and a Baseball Field are located on Hillside.   (Handicap access can be reached through the Arbor Avenue neighborhood which is  off of Rte. 125, please call for more details 725-1726)
